Education fund for orphans in Nepal

THE BIG IDEA
To raise money for an educational fund that will allow 5 orphaned children attend one of the best schools in Nepal.

DETAILS
At least 3 million children in Nepal are not in education.

Naxal Orphanage is committed to providing its children with quality education in one of the best schools in Kathmandu. Naxal send all children of school age to Mahendra Bhawan Higher Secondary School – one of the best private schools in Kathmandu.

The goal of OCCED is to provide the best possible education for the children in their care and currently cover the costs for 23 children in their care, giving them the best possible chance in their future lives. OCCED believes that the vulnerable children in thier care can become the leaders of tomorrow with the right education and start in life.

This project is delivered by OCCED, a registered Nepal charity. www.occed.org
This organisation if frequently visited by volunteers from people and places.

Total: 185500 nepali rupees c.£2,075

The per child breakdown is as follows:
School fees: 18000 nepali rupees c.£180
Uniforms shoes and bag:  5500 nepali rupees c.£55
Books and stationary:  6000 nepali rupees c.£60
Lunch:  6000 nepali rupees c.£60
Other:  3000 nepali rupees c.£60
Reporting and monitoring:  3000 nepali rupees c.£30
Total:  36500 nepali rupees c.£415 per child
